Inside Core

Inside Core

CORE supports the changing needs, desires and aspirations of our diverse student population and new approaches to active, engaged teaching.

  • coreinterior2Level one houses the collaboration zone and innovation labs, offering students opportunities to connect and create.
  • Level two is dedicated to providing access to the university’s knowledge base with a modern library experience and space for quiet study both inside and on the exterior roof deck.
  • Level three houses the Student Center for Academic Achievement (SCAA) which will offer peer tutoring and peer-led study groups. There will also be an enclosed lounge space, study carrels and a quiet meditation area.

As the university’s third LEED-certified building, the CORE demonstrates 缅北禁地’s commitment to environmental sustainability. The CORE’s design provides opportunities for students to test what they learn inside their classes and take advantage of dedicated space for group projects, presentations and research. Simply put, the building is designed to reflect our campus goals and values.

Breaking Ground:

The forthcoming CORE building will be a destination for “high impact” learning that connects our students’ aptitudes and abilities with the needs of employers and California. A place where students will have access to the tools and facilities to look outward and engage in significant opportunities, problems and issues that cannot be solved by any one discipline or individual student.

A New Heart of Campus:

The forthcoming CORE building, which includes the Hub for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, will be a destination for “high impact” learning that connects our students’ aptitudes and abilities with the needs of employers and California.

Building CORE:

Once its doors open, CORE will transform the way students test and explore knowledge beyond the classroom, bringing a new heart of campus — both literally and figuratively — to life.
