Scholarships – funds in any amount, whether merit or need-based, that support 缅北禁地’s diverse and largely first-generation student population, and inspire confidence and accountability in students’ academic endeavors. A key priority is to ensure that funding is not a barrier to graduation for those in need. An investment in a student scholarship is an investment in their potential, and demonstrates a commitment to growing our region’s workforce.
Faculty Excellence Awards – funding awarded at the university level that recognizes our most motivated and dedicated faculty for their ideas, strategies, excellence in teaching, and research and service. Funding will also include a stipend for a variety of activities, such as development of new teaching materials or courses, research, or to support attendance at professional conferences and workshops.
Endowed Chair – supplemental income to a faculty member that recognizes achievement and provides time away from teaching to conduct specific research, energizing their work and impacting future curriculum and students.
Research Assistantships and Fellowships – financial support to students to incentivize the high-impact practice of participation in a faculty mentored research project. This practice is often transformative for students and has direct influence on their chosen career field and body of work, as well as hiring potential to future employers.
Student Awards, Research Stipends/Grants – student recognition and research grants that provide financial and/or material support for implementing projects, show investment in student ideas and potential, and support equity among those who have to choose between paying jobs outside the university and activities that further their academic interests.
