Pre-Orientation: Advice for New Students
Welcome to 缅北禁地!
A new online pre-orientation is in the works! Admitted students will receive information on how to access the pre-orientation prior to orientation.
The new online pre-orientation will be a self-paced module with detailed information about our campus. Students will be able to complete the module at their own pace and does not have to be completed in one sitting.

缅北禁地 requires that all newly admitted Freshman and Transfer students attend a New Student Orientation before starting for their first term at 缅北禁地
The following information will help you navigate the basics at Cal State East Bay before Orientation. You should review the following videos and web links before attending Orientation, so you are better prepared to understand the essential information provided at the sessions.

Student Conduct - Student Conduct, Rights & Responsibilities (SCRR) supports the academic mission of 缅北禁地 through administering the student code of conduct with a focus on learning through self-reflection and personal accountability for behavior and decisions. This include the prevention of cyber bullying or any other ways that endangers students. SCRR partners with students, faculty, and staff to be a community of scholars where all strive to become the best version of themselves.
Title IX/DHR - The university's primary concern is the safety of its campus community members. We are committed to ensuring a safe working and learning environment. Title IX protects students, educators and school employees against all forms of sex or gender discrimination, including: sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, sexual exploitation, dating and domestic violence, stalking, and retaliation. Students or staff experiencing discrimination based on sex or gender should contact campus Title IX Administrators.
Fentanyl and Opioid Overdose - Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is up to 50 times stronger than heroin and 100 times stronger than morphine. Fentanyl is a major contributor to fatal and nonfatal overdoses in California and the United States. Learn more on at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Fentanyl Test Strips (FTS) are a harm reduction strategy designed to reduce the negative consequences of drug use, including the risk of fatal and nonfatal overdose. FTS are small strips of paper that can detect the presence of fentanyl in all different kinds of drugs (cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, etc.) and drug forms (pills, powder, and injectables). Fentanyl test strips are free and available at the Student Health & Counseling Services Pharmacy.
Narcan® (Naloxone) is the antidote that reverses opioid overdoses. It is available at the Student Health and Counseling Services and University Police Department at no charge to students. Learn how to
Students with Dependents - AB 2881 is a new California law aiming to improve support for students who are students and are caring for their children. We recognize and understand that being a student with dependents has many responsibilities. Please visit the Students with Dependents website to find more information on how our campus supports students with dependents.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR ORIENTATION
Once you have accepted your offer of Admission, you will be able to register for Orientation through MyCSUEB. If you do not see a specific Orientation session on MyCSUEB although it's listed on our website, this means that the session has reached capacity and we request that you choose an available session.
Step 1: Sign into MyCSUEB and select "classic view"
Step 2: Select "applicant" then "student orientation"
