Faculty & Staff Giving
Message from Faculty/Staff Giving Co-Chairs, Michelle Rippy '02 and Ronn Patton '88
Every one of us encounters students, first-hand, who are here to better themselves, their lives and the world around them. As they look toward the future and what it holds for them, the reality of their present life isn't quite always grand. These financial hardships also spill over into some of our student's graduation plans. Not every student who wants to participate in the graduation ceremony has the ability to pay for a cap, gown, and tassel.
This year we are launching a new Faculty/Staff Giving Campaign, Gowns for Grads. Our $5,000 goal will provide a cap, gown, and tassel to over 100 students. For just a little over $4 a month (for one year) you can purchase a cap, gown, and tassel and brighten a student's day.
Remember, no gift is too small!
All faculty and staff donors who give by March 1, 2020, will be invited to the annual Faculty and Staff Donor Appreciation Lunch to be held on March 17, 2020.
Know a Student in Need?
Students who wish to be entered into the lottery may apply by completing a form on the Pioneers for H.O.P.E. website. Only complete applications will be entered into the lottery held on March 17.
The Basics
The first lottery will be held on March 17th, to enter go to the Pioneers for H.O.P.E. website and complete a form. We will continue to hold lottery drawings on a biweekly basis until May 5th. Students will be notified via email and given instructions on how to claim their cap, gown, and tassel.
Remember the cost is $50 per cap, gown, and tassel. If we raise $3,000 we will only be providing 60 caps, gowns and tassels. The number we provide is up to YOU!
