Our Communication
Cal State East Bay our efforts for communication
Cal State University East Bay's Advising Resource Center prioritizes effective communication with staff and faculty to enhance student support. A key initiative includes the use of the Academic Affairs newsletter, which keeps faculty informed about advising updates, resources, and best practices. This regular communication fosters collaboration between advisors and faculty, ensuring a unified approach to guiding students. Through workshops and shared resources, the center promotes an environment where staff and faculty work together seamlessly, ultimately empowering students on their academic journeys.
Regular meetings and workshops are held to facilitate dialogue between advisors and faculty members, allowing for the exchange of insights and strategies to better support student success. This collaboration helps advisors understand the academic landscape and allows faculty to refer students to the appropriate resources more effectively.
Back To The Bay
Back to the Bay, CSUEB's annual professional development event is sponsored by Academic Affairs, Office of Faculty Development, the Online Campus, and University Extension. Each year since 2003, Back to the Bay brings faculty and staff together to share their expertise, and learn from one another and campus experts about topics of interest to faculty in their roles as teachers, advisors, researchers, users of technology, and active participants in the campus community. Back to the Bay is held each August on the Thursday before instruction begins.
